She is originally from Alabama and eventually moved to Englewood on the Southside of Chicago, IL where she was raised and attended elementary and high school. She became an RN whose professional career has included working with women and children as a nurse in multiple settings from the Hospital to the Community. Supporting the community where she lives is extremely important to her and she has and continues to volunteer to promote health and wellness. She believes in the power of natural foods, herbs, and energies, integrated with standard medical care, in order to promote optimal physical, mental, and spiritual health. A close friend introduced her to Intonation at Fuller Park, where she enrolled her two then 5-year-old boys and 9-year-old daughter. Her boys continue to attend Intonation classes where they have had the privilege of performing at multiple venues across Chicago. Her daughter and sons have performed with her daughter’s High School Marching Band and the Band has performed at the Presidential Inauguration, Bud Biliken Day Parade, and Mardis Gras.
