DAMARR SMITH

Champion of Education, Youth Development, and Entrepreneurship

Damarr Smith is a youth advocate, music enthusiast, and songwriter who has placed music in advertisements for Chrysler Group, Subway, Burger King, and television shows on FX and HBO Max. He currently writes songs for Chicago artist Elysia Marie. Damarr has served as Chief of Staff at the Golden Apple Foundation and led Competency-Based Education efforts at Chicago Public Schools. He has spearheaded strategies for youth engagement and employment and is a strategic collaborator for Everyone Can Code Chicago. Damarr holds an MBA from Babson College and a Master’s in Education Leadership from The Broad Center.
