Axelson-sideWe are THRILLED to announce that Intonation has been selected as one of THREE finalists for the Excellent Emerging Organization Award – presented by The Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management at North Park University to nonprofits who demonstrate that nonprofit management excellence is not limited to organizations with large budgets and long histories!

The award winner will be announced on Monday, June 22nd at Axelson’s Annual Symposium for Nonprofit Professionals and Volunteers – fingers crossed!

This year’s stellar line-up includes Intonation’s 20+ youth pop/rock bands, young dancers and performers from Ayodele Drum & Dance and CirquesExperience | Connect. Perform. Shine., and special guest stars Taylor Moore, Yuri Lane – BeatBox Harmonica, and Psalm One. The fest will also feature a community dance party, and hands-on activities such as a Musical Petting Zoo, Rock Star Style Zone, and Interactive Human Beatbox!

All-Stars at the Promontory!

Intonation and The Promontory Family Series are proud to announce a CD release party for the Intonation All-Stars! Made up of our most advanced students, The All-Stars have been hard at work writing and recording an original EP and can’t wait to debut it at their first headlining gig! With the musical support of Intonation instructor Boyang Matsapola (of local soul/funk stars The O’My’s), they will rock the Promontory to its foundation.

If you don’t want to rock on an empty stomach, brunch is served in the Promontory restaurant 9am-3pm, so stop in before or after the concert. For reservations call 312-801-2100.


Proceeds go to Intonation Music Workshop to support music programming for youth across Chicago.
